Cafe Integral

Located adjacent to the boutique Generator hotel close-ish to north Dupont, but just next to Adams Morgan’s borders, we’re including Cafe Integral in this list. The coffee is exceptional. Nicaraguan coffee sourced and roasted in New York City. The brand is bold and beautiful, and the coffee is strong. We love this newcomer to the area! Absolutely try this coffee. There’s indoor seating that looks ideal to work from. And outdoor seating = check. 5 stars.

Soleluna Cafe

NEW TO THE LIST/neighborhood. Ecuadorian coffee roasted in the USA, and the only Ecuadorian coffee that we know of in the DMV! Family-owned business from on farm/at origin all the way to this coffee shop… Fabulous experience with the coffee quality and the staff, and deletectable-looking pastries and fun ambiance (+amazing wallpaper and a gorgeous coffee machine). Outdoor seating = check. 4.5 stars.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
No Goodbyes

4.5 stars for the coffee shop inside of DC’s THE LINE! No Goodbyes (formally titled The Cup We All Race 4) serves delicious coffee each morning starting at 7 AM. Pro tip: THE LINE DC lobby is one of the best spots to work or study from in DC; great Wi-Fi and ample seating options await you inside of this hotel’s gorgeous entrance that features high ceilings and creative décor. Don’t forget to check out the recording studio when you’re there 😉 Outdoor seating = check.

Sharbat Bakery & Cafe

This Azerbaijani bakery is absolutely incredible. Just go to Sharbat for their honey cake or baklava alone; you might even forget all about the coffee! The bakery serves La Colombe Coffee Roasters. We cannot recommend this tiny gem highly enough for sweets or savory items. Closed on Monday. No outdoor seating.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
Pitango Gelato

Last but not least, Pitango Gelato serves up some truly tasty coffee inside of another beautiful space that’s study or work friendly. Seems like Adams Morgan offers ample café options for remote work! Outdoor seating = check. You’ll usually spot some cute dogs outside of this shop that’s tucked away on a less hectic AdMo street.

Did you notice that both Tryst and Songbyrd Cafe are missing from this list? That’s because they didn’t make our list of favorite coffee shops. More on that another time. On 5/28/23, we removed Philz Coffee from this list because they departed the DC area. Best wishes 🙂
