Coffee & Reading the morning paper
- Local/DC: The brand Via Volcan Coffee, which directly translates to: via the volcano, is now officially open! The Alexandria, VA roastery will serve coffee at the Cleveland Park farmers market on Saturday, the 21st. From their website: “SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE GROWN ON OUR FAMILY FARM ON THE SLOPES OF THE BARÚ VOLCANO IN THE PROVINCE OF CHIRIQUÍ, PANAMA.” Have you tried their coffee? The Panama “Geisha”?! Here’s their Insta for some on-the-ground info 😉

- Local/DC: Love M&Ms? Curious about the history of chocolate? Tour a Chocolate Factory (!) with the National Archives online this Dec 10th. “Guests will learn how modern chocolate evolved into the sweet treats we enjoy today – from its origins in South and Central America, through the Industrial Revolution into the modern mass production era. A tasty journey is ahead!” Register here for free, or opt-in for a tasting kit. {Not sponsored, we just think it sounds fun.}
Quote for the weekend
As a bee seeks nectar from all kind of flowers, seek teachings everywhere. Like a deer that finds a quiet place to graze, seek seclusion to digest all that you have gathered. Like a madman beyond all limits, go wherever you please and live like a lion completely free of all fear.

Some chocolate dessert
- Just for fun: We liked Ramsay’s “Guide to Chocolate” video!
- Holiday shopping ideas: Literally any of these cocoa gift options may tempt you. We also think that the Vosges brand “Chocolate Meditation Collection” (see image below) looks like a stunning and relaxing gift from someone on your list. 🙂
your Coffee shop outfit
- How about pre-ordering these cute joggers this weekend for a future social distance date? What’s your go-to coffee outfit?
- We may be baking this recipe for Chocolate Dulce de Leche and Vanilla Marble Cake over the weekend. Yum!
Have a lovely weekend.
