Coffee & Reading the Morning Paper
Good day, Friday. This week was a whirlwind of ups and downs, that is for sure, but we are grateful to have a peaceful home and meditation to ease us through these rough and calm waters. Ceremonial cacao helps to support us through the challenges and joys of life, especially the water element; like tsunamis or crystal serene lakes, euphoria and dread both are ephemeral human experiences.
The biggest coffee news that we saw this week for DC locals is that Philz is exiting the Washington, DC/DMV market! Triste! 🙁 We absolutely loved having their big study and gathering space in Adams Morgan. A loss for all of us. Hopefully the company is doing great and can find other markets that fit their demographic/goals better. The Nespresso in Pentagon City is also closing soon as well. We have a VERTUO so went to the store this week to stock up on some of our favorites. The closest Nespresso store will now be Tysons.
In chocolate news, it’s obviously getting closer and closer to Valentine’s Day! We will link some content that we’ve posted in the past for you to make some gifts or to shop the District!

Quote for the Weekend
“So, in an age of acceleration, nothing can be more exhilarating than going slow. And in an age of distraction, nothing is so luxurious as paying attention. And in an age of constant movement, nothing is so urgent as sitting still.” — PICO IYER
