American Chocolate Bar #4: [Sucre Chocolate]

13166909_962104997239480_723183961_nIt was the bright packaging with the tiny cellophane “window” that initially drew Time Cupsoul to Sucré chocolate bars. The window serves as a small preview of the bar’s design and content, and really is quite seductive. So how could the choice be made between the equally intriguing combinations of Sicilian Pistachio and Rose Petal, Candied Coffee, or Salted Pretzel?

Pistachio and rose petal is a chocolate recipe that’s been gracing Instagram accounts lately, and it sounded too delicious to pass up. Behind the “S” window,  dots of green and bright pink sprinkled the rich milk chocolate. What do rose petals taste like? This was definitely a Time Cupsoul chocolate-tasting first.

The Sicilian Pistachio and Rose Petal bar, once carefully moved out of the package, inspired an audible response: “Wow.” This was one of the prettiest chocolate bars ever purchased or reviewed by Time Cupsoul, not counting pralines. Sometimes chocolate is just beautiful. Stunning, in fact.
